Handling and transportation of valuable cargo
The consignor has the right to declare the value of the shipped cargo. For the declaration of value, a fee set by the carrier is charged. The procedure for the carriage of goods with a declared value is established by the carrier. Packing of packages handed over for carriage with a declared value must be sealed by the consignor. Seals must be standard, have clear imprints of digital or alphabetic signs. Cargoes, the packaging of which does not meet the listed requirements, must not be accepted for carriage by air. One of the categories of valuable cargo is currency values. This includes banknotes, coins, treasury notes, stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit.
